Honorio Cruz

Honorio Cruz is an Oaxacan sculptor whose work merges ancestral visual language with a distinctly contemporary sensibility. Drawing from myth, ritual, and the symbolic relationship between human and animal forms, his sculptures inhabit a space between narrative and abstraction.

Working in high-temperature ceramic, Cruz develops richly textured surfaces and layered patinas that evoke both archaeological artifacts and speculative forms. His figures, often hybrid beings, suggest transformation, memory, and internal mythologies.
